ASEP Repository

The ASEP Institutional Repository stores bibliographic records of all results produced at the Academy of Sciences (staff works) and can also store the full text of the document and other files related to the result.  Research data files with metadata (description) or just a metadata record with a link to the data stored on a repository where no description is possible (e.g. on your own server) can also be stored in the repository. Bibliographic and data records may be interlinked.

The person responsible for the incorporation at the institute is the designated person (ASEP administrator), who can be contacted by the researchers of the institute if they need information about the processing at the institute and whether it is possible to use the data repository. (The use of the data repository is conditional on the conclusion of  the contract between the  Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the institute; this can be initiated by the ASEP administrator if the contract is not concluded.) You can also contact the ASEP system administration (arl@lib.cas.cz) with your questions.

Individual user accounts

Through the user account, the author can store bibliographic records and full texts – the practice in institutes is usually that this activity is fully handled by the ASEP administrator.

The description and storage of data records is done through the individual account of the depositor. Depositors can be employees of the CAS – preferably authors, or other authorised persons (processors, authorised persons who describe and store data for one department, etc.).

Before publishing all records in the online catalogue, the ASEP administrator checks whether the records are correctly entered, checks access and licence settings.
