Applications for the “Data Steward” course in Vienna are now open!

The University of Vienna is launching 3rd round of the international certificate course for Data Stewards this October. This course is based on the success of other courses, e.g. the “Data Librarian” from the FAIR Data Austria project and similar courses – DataTrain or Zertifikatskurs FDM in Germany.

It was created by Tereza Kalová, who received last year’s LIBER 2023 Award for Library Innovation for introducing “Data Steward” certificate program and its contribution at the annual (52ths) LIBER conference, that held the theme “Open and trusted – Reassessing research library values“. LIBER is a Europe’s largest network of research libraries, bringing together hundreds of representatives of the library sector every year. This year’s theme is “State-of-the-art libraries in the service of science and society” and the registration for (53ths) conference is also now open here.
