If you are storing your data in the ASEP data repository, you can find information for completing the DMP here.
The questions are taken from the DMP template for Horizon in the NTK repository.
Will metadata be offered in such a way that it can be harvested and indexed?
Data from the ASEP Repository can be harvested and indexed. Data records are already automatically harvested (OAI-PMH protocol) e.g. to OpenAire, DataCite and will be harvested to the National Metadata Directory (NMA).
Will rich metadata be provided to allow discovery? What metadata will be created? What disciplinary or general standards will be followed? In case metadata standards do not exist in your discipline, please outline what type of metadata will be created and how.
The ASEP Repository is a multidisciplinary repository of the CAS with a general description. The metadata is based on the enriched UNIMARC metadata standard, supplemented with fields from DataCite. Metadata is created in the repository using a standardized form.
Will search keywords be provided in the metadata to optimize the possibility for discovery and then potential re-use?
The metadata of the record in the ASEP Repository contains free keywords in English and the OECD Fields or Research and Development (FORD) category.
Will the data be deposited in a trusted repository?
The data will be stored in the institutional data repository ASEP. The ASEP Repository is registered in the RE3DATA repository register. The records in the ASEP Repository have persistent identifiers and the repository allows versioning of data records. We are preparing the repository for CoreTrustSeal certification. Here is more detailed information about the ASEP Repository.
Does the repository ensure that the data is assigned an identifier? Will the repository resolve the identifier to a digital object?
Yes, data records stored in the ASEP Repository are assigned handle (all ASEP records) and DOI (data records with files stored in the ASEP Repository) identifiers.
Will the data be accessible through a free and standardized access protocol?
Yes, the data in the ASEP Repository is accessible using the standard https web protocol.
Will metadata be made openly available and licenced under a public domain dedication CC-0, as per the Grant Agreement? If not, please clarify why. Will metadata contain information to enable the user to access the data?
Metadata for all records in the ASEP Repository are freely available in the online catalog.
How long will the data remain available and findable? Will metadata be guaranteed to remain available after data is no longer available?
The ASEP Repository provides a place for long-term, reliable and secure storage of research data. The storage period is not limited. The metadata will be available even after the data has been made unavailable.
Will documentation or reference about any software be needed to access or read the data be included?
A software reference can be part of the metadata description of the record (dataset description field or technical information field). It is also possible to attach files with documentation to data records in the repository.
Will your data include qualified references to other data (e.g. other data from your project, or datasets from previous research)?
In the ASEP Repository, there is the possibility to link to other data and to link to a previous version of the data.
