Project INSPIRING ERA organises an online event Engaging citizens with science: Insights and success stories from across Europe exploring how to make citizen engagement in research more meaningful, more inclusive, and more impactful. The webinar will share practical lessons from innovative public engagement and citizen science initiatives across Europe and highlight insights from European mutual learning on how to bring science closer to citizens.

In the first part of the webinar, participants will hear several short presentations on successful public engagement projects from across Europe. This will be followed by a panel discussion presenting evidence, good practices and transferable approaches for widening citizen engagement in research.

INSPIRING ERA is a Horizon Europe project that supports researchers, research and higher education institutions, and innovation actors in understanding and applying the outcomes of the European Research Area (ERA). It helps turn policy into practice by connecting the people who create ERA policies with those who are affected by them and make use of them on the ground.
