FIDELIS: Mentoring and Peer-to-Peer Support Programme – informative webinar

February 27, 2026

When: February 27, 2026, 11:00 – 12:00
Where: nnline

The EOSC FIDELIS project has launched the first open call of its Mentoring and Peer-to-Peer Support Programme, designed to foster mentoring and mutual exchange of experience among repository professionals.

The first open call focuses on five thematic areas:

      1. Trustworthy at national and international levels
      2. Data curation, access and preservation policies
      3. Fostering engagement between repositories and end users
      4. Active Data Curation for technical repository staff
      5. Training approaches for repository staff

Within this programme, EOSC FIDELIS will support mentors willing to contribute their experience in one of the five thematic areas. Mentors do not need to be “experts” in the strict sense; practical experience with the topic is sufficient, including lessons learned from unsuccessful approaches. Each successful mentor participating in the co-design and implementation of the programme (approximately 10 working days between June and October 2026) will receive a remuneration of EUR 5,000.

Participation is free of charge for mentees. Each support programme will result in a co-authored Implementation Story, to be published within the community on Zenodo.

To accompany the open call, FIDELIS is organising an online information session on 27 February 2026, 11:00–12:00. The session will introduce the individual support programmes, explain the participation conditions for both mentors and mentees, outline the application procedure, and include a Q&A segment.

More information, including registration details, is available here.

FIDELIS Training and Support Programme

One of the key objectives of FIDELIS is to strengthen repository capacities through an active Training and Support Programme, which includes three types of activities:

    • Support for the Adoption of Solutions – financial support and expert guidance for implementing tools, services, and good practices.
    • Mentoring and Peer-to-Peer Support Programme – targeted mentoring and peer-to-peer exchange among repository professionals.
    • Open Training Activities – thematic workshops and events open to the broader community.
