CoRDI 2025 – registration

August 8, 2025

The second edition of the Conference on Research Data Infrastructure (CoRDI) will take place from August 26 to 28, 2025, at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. This international conference focuses on promoting the effective use of research data and explores how well-developed data infrastructures can support the advancement of science and benefit society at large.

This year’s theme, “RDM in Action”, reflects the conference’s emphasis on practical solutions and tools in the field of research data management and supporting infrastructure. The programme will feature a rich mix of expert lectures, keynote speeches, poster sessions, and the interactive Market of Opportunities, where participants can share experiences and build collaborations across projects, institutions, and disciplines.

Key topics include the use of artificial intelligence in working with research data, education and training in data stewardship, the impact and sustainability of data services, and various aspects of European research infrastructures. The conference addresses both domain-specific and cross-disciplinary challenges across the humanities, natural, life, and engineering sciences. A strong emphasis is placed on hands-on practices, experience sharing, and the integration of open science into everyday research workflows.

CoRDI 2025 is organised by the Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI) – an initiative funded, among others, by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Its mission is to establish a coordinated, long-term sustainable infrastructure for research data in Germany. The conference is co-organised by the Werkzeugmaschinenlabor WZL der RWTH Aachen, WZL Aachen GmbH, and the NFDI4ING consortium. Registration is open until August 8, 2025. The standard ticket price is 399 EUR.

The conference will be immediately followed by the 2nd Base4NFDI User Conference (UC4B2025), which complements the main programme and offers a platform to present and exchange results related to the foundational services developed within the Base4NFDI project. This follow-up event focuses on strengthening collaboration between basic service teams and the various NFDI consortia and is open to all interested participants free of charge.
