Webinars on Developing Research Data and Software Management Policies
When: every Monday from September 8 to September 29, 2025, starting at 14:00 (CEST)
Where: online
The Digital Curation Centre (DCC), in collaboration with RDA Europe, is hosting a four-week series of online workshops and sessions designed to help research institutions develop or update their institutional Research Data and Software Management Policy. This course is especially suitable for teams seeking a structured, strategic approach to defining how research outputs are managed within their organization.
The program kicks off on September 8 and includes two structured training sessions (September 8 and 15), an optional drop-in session (September 22), and a final feedback session on draft policies (September 29). The course blends theoretical foundations with hands-on activities and real-world policy analysis, allowing participants to tailor their approach to their institution’s specific needs and design a practical, sustainable implementation plan aligned with the FAIR principles. Each participating organization will also receive individual feedback on their draft policy from trainers at DCC and RDA Europe.
This course is intended for research support professionals, data stewards, librarians, and administrators. Up to three representatives per organization may attend, with a maximum of 20 organizations participating. The registration fee is GBP 441 per organization.
The training is organized by the Digital Curation Centre (DCC) – a UK-based organization providing tools, training, and consultancy services for managing, planning, and preserving digital research data. Co-organizer Research Data Alliance (RDA) is a global community connecting researchers and data professionals to enable open and effective data sharing across disciplines and borders. The European office of RDA supports regional communities and advocates for European priorities in open science and data stewardship.
