It is organized by the Open Science Working Group of the Association of Libraries of Czech Universities, with the Library of the Czech Academy of Sciences as one of the co-organizers. Open Science Week 2025 promises three days full of inspiration, experience sharing, and practical demonstrations from the field of open science. The program is designed for anyone interested in open science and research data management. The event brings together researchers, PhD students, librarians, data stewards, project support staff, and other professionals – there is something for everyone.
Participants can look forward to expert lectures, live discussions, and practical demonstrations of tools that can be applied in everyday work. The program covers current topics such as FAIR data, open access publications, citizen science, legal aspects, and the everyday realities of open science.
A special highlight of the event is the evening session “Mistakes Welcome – An Open Look at Open Science”, which will take place at Klub FAMU in Prague on November 12, 2025, at 18:00. Researchers, PhD students, and other experts will openly share their dead ends, failed experiments, and challenges they have encountered, because science is not just about successes.
