OP JAK Seminar: Open Science Practices in the Context of New Methodological Letters (cze)

When: February 12, 2026, 13:00–15:00
Where: online

On February 12, 2026, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT) will hold an online seminar intended for representatives of beneficiaries of research calls under the Jan Amos Komenský Operational Programme (OP JAK), in particular the following calls:

  • No. 02_22_008 Excellent Research,
  • No. 02_23_020 Intersectoral Cooperation,
  • No. 02_23_021 Intersectoral Cooperation for ITI,
  • No. 02_23_025 Social Sciences and Humanities: Humans and Humanity in Global Challenges of the Present.

The application of Open Science principles is a mandatory condition for the funding of projects under OP JAK. These principles are based primarily on two key pillars: Open Access to peer-reviewed scientific publications, and the management of research data in accordance with the FAIR principles, including data sharing “as open as possible, as closed as necessary”.

Newly issued methodological letters further specify the requirements related to Open Access to scientific publications. The seminar will focus on these changes and on their practical implications for the obligations of project beneficiaries.

The aim of the seminar is to:

  • explain the changes arising from the new methodological letters (cze),
  • clarify beneficiaries’ obligations with regard to open access to publications and research data management in general,
  • specify procedures for the correct reporting of indicators.

Registration is open until February 11, 2026, 10:00. Further information and registration are available here.
