IFLA seminar about Open Science

IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) and Workplace Learning (CPDWL) are organizing an online seminar in September on topic: “Open Science Unveiled: Empowering Knowledge Sharing in the Digital Age”.
IFLA is a partner organization of UNESCO and was founded on 30 September 1927 in Edinburgh and is headquartered in The Hague, The Netherlands. It is an independent, international, non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation that promotes the interests of library and information associations, libraries and information services, librarians and communities at all levels – national and international.
The webinar will be centered around Open Science issues, transformative approaches and collaborative research in terms of practicalities and implementation of practices, including Open Access and Open Data publishing, and will highlight their significant contributions to the scholarly community.
The speaker will be Wendy Hoi Yan WONG, a member of the IFLA Big Data SIG, the IFLA Open Science and Scholarship Advisory Committee (OSSAC) and Senior Library Assistant at the Pao Yue-kong Library, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Also featured will be Reid Boehm, Manager of Research Data Systems at Purdue University.
