Education at NTK: Open Science Topics

The National Library of Technology (NTK) offers a range of useful courses, webinars, and workshops in English. They are free of charge and open to everyone – NTK registration is not required. Each event requires a separate registration. The list of topics for the winter semester is available here. Introduction to Research Data Management

When: October 22, 2025, 10:00–11:30

A basic introduction to research data management (RDM). Participants will learn why and how to organize, store, and share data effectively, what the FAIR principles are, and how good data management can make research work and subsequent publication easier. This webinar is intended primarily for doctoral students, early-career researchers, and anyone new to RDM. Registration and more information here.

AI Essentials for Academia

When: November 12, 2025, 10:00–11:00
Where: online

An introductory overview of how artificial intelligence can be used in research and academia. The instructors will focus on the basics of ethical and responsible AI use, academic integrity, and practical examples of AI tools in teaching and research. How to Publish Your Data – Zenodo and Other Repositories

When: December 8, 2025, 10:00–12:30
Where: National Library of Technology, Prague, room PC03

A practical workshop on publishing research data. Participants will learn how to choose a suitable repository, prepare a dataset for publication, and upload their data step by step to the Zenodo repository. The workshop is designed for researchers who plan to make their data publicly available and/or need to meet funder or publisher requirements. Registration and more information here.
