RDA VP26 Plenary Meeting

When: March 16–20, 2026
Where: online

The Research Data Alliance will hold its 26th Plenary Meeting from March 16 to 20, 2026, as a fully online event. The theme of the meeting will be “Data continuity for research resilience”, highlighting the importance of data continuity as a key component of resilient research.

The Research Data Alliance (RDA) is an international initiative founded in 2013 that supports the open sharing and reuse of research data across disciplines, technologies, and countries. RDA brings together researchers, data professionals, institutions, industry representatives, and policymakers to develop practical and sustainable solutions for working with research data.

RDA plenary meetings are regular opportunities for the community to connect and discuss current topics in research data practice. At RDA VP26, discussions will focus on data continuity in the face of institutional changes, technological transitions, and global disruptions. Sessions will explore how to ensure long-term access to research data, preserve research outputs, and build data infrastructures that remain robust in times of uncertainty. The meeting will provide a platform for exchanging experiences and jointly identifying approaches that strengthen research resilience and support continuity in data-related work, even during periods of significant change.
