Open Science Conference 2025

This year’s Open Science Conference will take place on October 8 and 9, 2025, in Hamburg, Germany. The conference offers a unique opportunity to share experiences, ideas, and perspectives on the current and future development of Open Science. This year’s focus is on the intersection of Open Science and artificial intelligence, which brings new opportunities and challenges across various disciplines. The main topic will be how to leverage artificial intelligence in ways that support the principles of Open Science. The program includes lectures, discussions, and examples of good practice.

The conference is organized by the Leibniz Strategy Forum on Open Science, which continues the work of the original Leibniz Research Alliance Open Science and promotes the development of open science practices. The main organizer is ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics, a leading institution in economics and Open Science that has long been dedicated to research, innovation, and support for open access.
