EOSC-EDEN survey on research (meta)data quality
The EOSC-EDEN project is conducting a survey aimed at identifying the criteria used to assess the quality of research data and metadata. The survey seeks to understand how research communities, data repositories, and technical infrastructure providers evaluate the quality of research (meta)data and which practices they use for their management and long-term preservation.
EOSC-EDEN (European Open Science Cloud – Enhancing Data Ecosystem and Networks) is a Horizon Europe-funded project focusing on the development of strategies for the curation and long-term preservation of research data. The project aims to support practices, services, and tools that contribute to improved research data management, preservation, and reuse in line with FAIR principles.
The survey is intended for researchers, research data management and curation professionals, and professionals involved in providing technical infrastructure for research data management. It is open to respondents from different disciplines, organisations, and career stages. Completing the survey takes approximately 20–30 minutes. The survey will remain open until August 31, 2026.
More information about the survey is available here; the survey itself can be accessed here.
