Open Science II Conference (cze)

The launch Open Science II conference will take place on May 25–26, 2026, at Charles University in Prague. The conference will focus on research data, the development of repositories, and the exchange of experience among project participants as well as the wider EOSC CZ community and the broader scientific public. The program includes thematic lectures, panel discussions, a VIP panel of leading experts with international reach, and practical workshops for repository creators. The conference language is Czech.

The first day will offer both a strategic and practical perspective on Open Science II in the context of the EOSC CZ initiative and the National Data Infrastructure. Discussions will cover the direction of the project, handling of sensitive data, and the use of artificial intelligence in research data management. The program also includes an evening buffet and networking opportunities.

The second day will focus on emerging repositories and practical work with research data. The morning will showcase new repository models and innovations, while the afternoon will feature parallel workshops for repository creators, data curators, and data stewards. The day will conclude with a panel discussion on the experiences and lessons learned in building repositories.
