MetaCentrum webinar: Practical use of AI tools (beyond research and academia)

On July 20, 2026, from 13:00 to 15:00, the second webinar in a series focused on the practical use of MetaCentrum computing infrastructure and related services will take place. This session will focus on the use of artificial intelligence tools provided by the CERIT-SC Center for academic purposes, including large language models (LLMs).
The webinar is intended for researchers, students, IT specialists, and administrators from the academic and research sectors who are considering integrating AI tools into their work or already use services provided through e-infra CZ / MetaCentrum.
The programme will include an introduction to large language models, information on the secure use of AI tools, an overview of available AI services within e-infra CZ, a demonstration of API integration, and a discussion of the shortcomings and limitations of current AI technologies. The webinar will be held in Czech and recorded; the recording will subsequently be made available with English subtitles.

Recording of the first webinar in the series
The first webinar in the series, Introduction to MetaCentrum Capabilities, took place on June 23, 2026, and introduced the main options for using the national MetaCentrum computing infrastructure. Participants learned about different ways of submitting computational jobs, user-friendly graphical environments such as Open OnDemand, Jupyter Notebooks, and Galaxy, cloud environments including OpenStack and Kubernetes, and options for storing research data.
